Fabric of Stamford Exhibit Opening

The Stamford History Center invites members to take a step back in time on Sunday, September 30th for its newest exhibit “Fabric of Stamford: Women’s Costumes & Textiles 1860-1960.”

Through never-before-seen fabric and textiles, the exhibit offers visitors a glimpse into popular clothing and costume designs which influenced style and fashion in our area over a span of 100 years.

Those styles range from school outfits for young children to day-to-day wear to wedding attire.

Visitors will have a unique vantage point at the Stamford History Center exhibit - as the pieces will be displayed in the open, allowing better access to the details and beauty of each item in our collection.
