Hit the Trails and Participate in Connecticut Hiking Challenge

We love Stamford North, but we also know Connecticut has a lot to offer. The air is finally crisp and the leaves are starting to turn! Put on your hiking boots and hit the trails! The Sky’s the Limit Hiking Challenge is a great way to discover this great state!

The State of Connecticut’s 2018 Sky's the Limit Hiking Challenge, designed to promote hiking in Connecticut’s State Parks and Forests, has coined 2018 the “lesser known trails” challenge (yes, you are encouraged to take the trail less traveled!)

According to the DEEP, Participants in this friendly competition will once again have the opportunity to receive a hiking staff medallion or Sky's the Limit lapel pin for visiting ten designated locations. Please see our list of the fourteen hiking locations and grab your bestie or your dog (or both, or just your dog if he or she is your bestie) and enjoy picturesque New England.

When on your hike, please take a photo (selfies are OK) by a sign at the entrance to the park or forest. For a complete list of instructions (they are simple) click HERE. Please note: entries must be received by Friday, December 7, 2018 to be entered into the drawing.

On January 1, 2019 names will be drawn from those who visited all fourteen locations and fifty winners will receive a hand-carved hiking staff.
