Please join NAMI SWCT as we walk in support of the first-ever NAMI Connecticut Walk in Fairfield County, which will take place on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Sherwood Island State Park in Westport, CT!
This will be the first time NAMI CT has offered a Walk in Fairfield County, in addition to the organization’s longstanding annual Walk in Hartford, CT. Registration for the 3K Sherwood Island Walk will begin on May 18 at 9:00 AM; the Walk will start promptly at 10:00 AM. The event will be a fun, family-friendly affair, with music from a local band, refreshments, children’s activities, and sponsor tents.
You can participate in the Walk in a number of ways -- as a walker, a team captain, and/or a donator. However you participate, you will help raise awareness about the educational, support, and advocacy services NAMI CT affiliates provide to those in their communities. In addition, money raised by the Walk will directly benefit the three local NAMI affiliates in Fairfield County: NAMI Southwest CT, NAMI Fairfield, and NAMI Danbury (the latter of which is forming now).
