“An artist’s way of seeing is similar to a musician’s way of hearing. Some artists imagine work in full form, others imagine it in fragments; both refine the arrangement” Marina Shrady
Meet the artist Friday, July 12th from 5 -7pm and view an eclectic selection of masterfully rendered contemporary oil paintings created over the paste decade. “Whether abstract or figurative, each canvas is thoughtfully composed and rendered; her forms and colorations enhance and elevate each series.” says gallery director, Lina Morielli.

Marina Shrady attended the Art Students League in NYC and studied under Will Barnet where she was awarded a merit scholarship from the National Arts Club in Manhattan. She earned a BFA from the School of Visual Arts and also studied at the Corcoran Museum in Washington, DC.

Marina has exhibited widely; at The School of Visual Arts Gallery in Manhattan,

The Elaine Benson Gallery in Bridgehampton, NY, The Duluth Art Institute, The Clarke Gallery in Palm Beach, FL, The Clarke Fine Arts Gallery in Manhattan and The Bendheim and Flinn Galleries in Greenwich, CT. Her work has also been exhibited at other private galleries in the metropolitan New York area. Her clients include corporate executives, celebrities, and private collectors throughout the country.

Marina is a member of Loft Artist Association and the Contemporary Art Network and continues to create inspired contemporary artwork at her mid-century studio and retreat along the Mianus River in Stamford, Connecticut.

Marina is the granddaughter of sculptor Henry Merwin Shrady and the daughter of artist/sculptor Frederick Shrady.
