Book Talk with Smart Cities, Smart Future Authors at Ferguson Library on Jan. 8

The Ferguson Library will host Mike Barlow and Cornelia Lévy-Bencheton, co-authors of Smart Cities, Smart Future: Showcasing Tomorrow, on Wednesday, Jan. 8 at 6:30 p.m. Their presentation will focus on the idea of the "multi-generational city" and the need for cities to offer services for residents and visitors of all ages and abilities. They will also discuss the growing role of artificial intelligence (AI) in the design and development of smart cities. A book sale and signing will follow the presentation.
 
Smart Cities, Smart Future describes the impact of smart city projects on people in towns, cities, and nations around the world and offers a strong and compelling narrative of a changing world. It provides the knowledge and critical insight needed to engage in the smart city movement and explains why smart cities are powerful forces for positive change and how they can rebuild our trust in government.
 
Mike Barlow is an award-winning journalist and former business editor at the Stamford Advocate. Cornelia Lévy-Bencheton is a strategic marketing and communications consultant who works with clients and companies in the financial, healthcare, and professional services sectors. She is Principal at CLB Consulting LLC.
