Make-A-Wish® Organizes Huge Quinceañera Birthday Parade for Stamford Wish Kid

Stamford, CT - During a time when more than 100 wishes have had to be postponed, a 14-year-old Stamford girl with a blood disorder has been eagerly awaiting her 15th birthday, on August 25, so that her wish have a Quinceañera could come true. Unfortunately, her plans for a large 150-person gathering at the Bank Street Café in Stamford have been put on hold until it is safe for her to have a party of that size.

In the meantime, what better way to bring hope and a smile back to Naydali’s face than to honor her with a birthday parade on her 15th birthday? While no substitute for her postponed Quinceañera, on August 14th she was treated to a special dress, shoes, pocketbook, some jewelry and lunch by the Nordstrom’s in Norwalk, so that she is ready and outfitted to be the true princess she is for her special birthday parade.  Many local businesses will be joining the parade to wish Naydali a happy 15th birthday, and Dough Girls will be bringing their pizza food truck to drop off pizza for Naydali and her family.

The parade is set for Tuesday, August 25.

Staging begins at 1:30 in the parking lot area across from Vineyard Vines (please see directions attached) at 181 Harbor Dr, Stamford, CT 06902. The parade itself starts at 2pm from there and ends at 8 Magee Avenue, Stamford.

ABOUT MAKE-A-WISH

Make-A-Wish® Connecticut creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. They seek to bring every eligible child's wish to life because a wish is an integral part of a child's treatment journey. Research shows children who have wishes granted can build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight a critical illness. Together, generous donors, supporters, staff and volunteers across the state currently grant nearly 225 wishes a year. Since 1986, Make-A-Wish Connecticut has granted more than 3,400 wishes to local children. Visit ct.wish.org.
