The Ferguson Library will mark the 50th anniversary of its South End Branch on Saturday, Oct. 3 at 11:30 a.m. with a Zoom webinar featuring Jerry Craft, New York Times bestselling and Newberry Medal-winning author of New Kid. The graphic novel is also the winner of the Coretta Scott King Author Award and the Kirkus Prize for Young Readers' Literature. Craft’s second graphic novel, Class Act, publishes on Oct. 6.
The event will include New Kid giveaways, limited edition 50th anniversary library cards, a visual retrospectgive of the South End Branch, and more.
