Children's Learning Centers of Fairfield County Hosts Virtual Trivia Nights

Children's Learning Centers of Fairfield County (CLC), the second-largest center-based early childhood education nonprofit in Connecticut, will host two upcoming virtual Trivia Nights on Thursday, April 8, and Friday, April 16, 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Each night will feature rounds of general trivia questions as well as a Name That Tune round.

Online registration for individuals and teams is available online at www.clcfc.org or here.  Teams collaborate via Zoom in dedicated break-out rooms, and answers are submitted online. The cost is $50 per person per date; $100 per person including delicious "pub snacks" provided by Marcia Selden Catering; $375 for a team of eight players. The curated "pub snacks" will include hand-cut potato crisps with creamy onion dip, mini cheeseburger sirloin sliders, BBQ wings with chunky blue cheese dressing, and a jumbo Black/White cookie. Pick-up of the pub snacks will be the day of the Trivia Night at Children's Learning Centers at the Palmer Hill location on the Greenwich /Stamford border.

"Children's Learning Centers of Fairfield County plays a critical role in helping and educating children and their families in our community. We know that children are curious and love music, so a Trivia Night is a natural fit for us to raise awareness as well as funding," stated CLC Chief Executive Officer Marc E. Jaffe. "We are looking forward to these interactive, virtual experiences and encourage entering either as an individual or gather your friends and enter as a team up to eight players."

CLC is more than an early childhood education center; it is "an economic engine" continuing its mission where together, we will shape a generation through early childhood education. "We enable more parents of young children to work than any other nonprofit in Southwest CT," explained Jaffe. In 2020, during eight weeks of the COVID-19 pandemic, CLC provided reliable and safe childcare to children of healthcare & frontline workers as part of Project 26. CLC re-opened all eight of its Stamford locations in June, enabling more parents to go back to work. CLC also continues to provide remote learning and support services to children who can't join in classrooms right away. “The pandemic did not change our resolve and commitment to prepare the next generation for a promising future,” stated Jaffe.
