The Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County celebrates the vibrancy and diversity of the arts and culture across the 15 towns in our region of coastal Fairfield County and each Tuesday issues our free E-Buzz newsletter with a selection of the hundreds of events posted to our website by our members.

This week there are two great arts festivals - one in Bridgeport and one in Norwalk. In Bridgeport on Saturday, the monthly ARTCade Festival uniting City Lights Gallery and its Vintage shop and music on the patio at Main and Golden Hill Street, with the Shopping Arcade, at 1042 Broad Street, with its open artists' studios, live music from 11:30am to 4pm and the elegant Ursa Gallery, and artists talks at 3pm and 4pm. All this is amplified this weekend by Music Mash a record fair produced by WPKN 89.5FM usually in March, but now in a summer edition in Bijou Square, across from the Bijou Theatre on Fairfield Avenue - in between City Lights Gallery and the Arcade. There will be vinyl records galore for sale, as well as CDsvinyl records, CD's, music ephemera, collectibles and more. WPKN DJ's will be on site spinning vinyl records, CD's, music ephemera, collectibles and more and WPKN DJ's spinning vinyl records on site.

On Saturday and Sunday, the Norwalk Art Festival takes over Mathews Park (home to Lockwood Mathews Mansion Museum, Stepping Stones Museum for Children, the Center for Contemporary Printmaking, the Cultural Alliance, and our new next door neighbor, the Norwalk Art Space. More than 75 exhibiting artists present their photography, painting, sculpture, jewelry, glass, pottery, printmaking and more. There will be a Poets Corner with a weekend long schedule of readers and writers. Kids art activities, printmaking demonstrations and tours of the Norwalk Art Space are just a few highlights
