Stamford Senior Center 3rd Annual Miniature Golf Tournament

The Stamford Senior Center’s 3rd Annual Miniature Golf Tournament is nearly sold out!  This lighthearted event, which will be held on Thursday, September 9 on the center’s patio, will raise funds to help support programs and services that promote healthy aging for older adults.

The evening of friendly competition, food, craft beer, wine and raffle prizes is selling out fast. Limited tickets still remain for the tournament’s 4pm tee time group, and cost just $12/player for members, $25/player for non-members. Visit stamfordseniorct.org to sign up or to become an event sponsor.

“We’re so excited at community’s response to this year’s event. It’s just a great opportunity to come together, have some fun, and support our senior community,” said Christina Crain, Stamford Senior Center Executive Director.

The Stamford Senior Center, located on the second floor in the Government Center at 888 Washington Blvd. in Stamford, CT, provides affordable opportunities for older adults in the greater Stamford area to be active and healthy in mind and body and remain connected to their community in a welcoming, safe and diverse environment.

As a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization, the Stamford Senior Center must fundraise to support the active and engaging programming it offers. Throughout the pandemic, the Center was a lifeline to seniors, delivering prepared meals and groceries, and providing virtual programming to this especially vulnerable group.

“We’re keeping seniors healthy and safely involved. It has been a challenging year, and we encourage everyone to come out and enjoy this event which allows us to meet their needs,” said Crain.

The Stamford Senior Center would like to thank its event sponsors to date, including AJM Real Estate Services Inc., Cassena Care at Stamford, Edgehill, Maplewood Senior Living, The Residence at Summer Street, SilverSource, Care Patrol, The Waterstone on High Ridge, Len Schwartz, Clare Bolduc, and Osborn Home Care.
