Enjoy a romantic comedy adapted from the novel "Eleanor and Abel'' by Annette Sanford. This is a story about a retired school teacher who lives a quiet life alone in a small Texas town, and a smooth-talking drifter intent on renovating her house, and possibly her life. A late-life romance that has the whole town talking! 

The CrimeCONN Mystery Lovers’ Conference at The Ferguson Library, Stamford

Saturday, June 4 at 8:30 am - 4:00 pm

Calling all mystery lovers! This one-day writers and mystery lovers conference features a writing workshop led by Desmond Hall, screenwriter and author of "Your Corner Dark." The keynote speaker is Tess Gerritsen, who wrote the novels, featuring homicide detective Jane Rizzoli and medical examiner Maura Isles, that inspired the hit TNT TV series "Rizzoli & Isles." 

Art In The Windows Exhibit & Festival at The Carriage Barn Arts Center, New Canaan

Saturday, June 4 at 10am - 4pm

Celebrate New Canaan’s vibrant business district and the arts in Downtown New Canaan, featuring an artist showcase, workshops and demonstrations, live music and performances – and a community chalk-art challenge! 

Family Photography Tintype Portraits & Photo Workshop at The Fairfield Museum

Saturday, June 4 at 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Get ready to strike your best pose! Have a special portrait taken by award-winning artist, Greg Shea. While you’re inside the museum, you can experiment with photography and collage and learn about different photographic techniques in a Family Photography Workshop, using examples from the museum’s two exhibits: Images 2022 and Featured Photographer: Allison Minto. Registration recommended.

Reptiles Rock! at New Pond Farm Education Center, Redding 

Saturday, June 4 at noon

You may encounter a giant toad, a large lizard, an enormous tortoise, or a slinky snake this weekend if you head over to Reptiles Rock! Join a herpetologist/conservation educator from Rainforest Reptiles for a high energy show that spotlights reptiles from different parts of the world. Recommended for all ages. Registration required. 

Elton John by Captain Fantastic at Downtown Cabaret Theatre, Bridgeport

Saturday, June 4 at 5:00 pm and 8pm

Go on a journey with the ‘Rocketman’ in the premier Elton John Tribute Show. This musical extravaganza boasts stunning recreations of your favorite Elton John hits from the 70’s. With costumes that go from bizarre to breathtaking and an amazing 5-foot baby-grand that showers you with lights, smoke, lasers, and a few surprises, you may think you’ve gone down the Yellow Brick Road.

4th Scavenger Hunt at The Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum

Sunday, June 5 at noon - 4:00 pm

Come on over to Norwalk’s Mathews Park for a Scavenger Hunt with recycling and sustainability theme! Children must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets are $5 and include admission to the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum.

The Met Live in HD: Hamlet at Ridgefield Playhouse

Saturday, June 4 at 1:00 pm

Free tickets for students 18 and under! Enjoy a riveting contemporary masterpiece with Neil Armfield, who directed the work’s premiere, bringing his acclaimed staging to the Met. Many of the original cast members have followed, including tenor Allan Clayton in the title role.

In celebration of Pride Month, come to a free afternoon of musical joy. This season's theme is “British Invasion,” as the men of the CTGMC will be crossing the pond to explore British hits that have topped the charts and warmed our hearts for decades. It's The Best of The Brits, from Freddie and Elton to Petula and Posh! 

Music at the Barn Outdoor Concert Series at Weston Historical Society

Sunday, June 5 at 5:30 - 7:00 pm

Kick off the outdoor music season with this fabulous Steely Dan cover band, Logical Pretzel. Tony Pizza Napolitano will be on site selling his famous thin crust pizza. While on site, explore the Society’s whimsical Daniel E. Offutt III Sculpture Garden, as well as its award-winning historic interpretive signs that tell the history of the Coley Homestead.
