The Stamford Jewish Community Center’s Manger Gallery @ the J proudly presents an exhibition of artwork by artist Nathan Gregoire. The exhibit, A Vicarious Exercise, takes place at The Stamford Jewish Community Center from November 1, 2022 thru December 30, 2022. A reception for the artist will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 from 7:00-8:00 pm. Admission is free. The JCC is located at 1035 Newfield Avenue, Stamford CT 06905.

Based in Ridgefield Connecticut, Nathan Gregoire discovered a silver lining during the Covid-19 pandemic through the rediscovery of his interest in creating art. His two sons, Joseph and Benjamin, were the catalysts, sharing five initial tubes of acrylic and asking him to paint. This act reignited creativity and passion for expression that Nathan had not explored on canvas in the last 20 years. Over time, Nathan has expanded his appreciation for creating and continued to build a diverse collection. Working primarily in acrylics and oil pastels, his work incorporates bold textures and is largely dominated by the use of bright colors.

His first exhibit: A Vicarious Exercise, is named for the intent to facilitate a shared experience of interpretation and imagination, in which viewers can reveal a variety of impressions.
