This Valentine's weekend, we have more picks for you than ever, so we extended the weekend through Tuesday - Valentine’s Day. Share your love of arts and culture with your favorite “loves” and experience the following events in visual art, music, dance, film, and more. Love, arts, and culture is everywhere in the air!

 “GLOW” at the Flinn Gallery, Greenwich

Opening Thursday, February 9 and running through March 22nd

Do not miss the new exhibit that features four abstract artists: Ryan Crotty, Susan Meyer, Linda Kamille Schmidt, and Audrey Stone with 2- and 3-D artworks intersecting with themes of color, transparency, process, and materiality. Curated by Ellen Hawley, GLOW invites visitors to lean in and examine the close relationship between colors, and how ambient light illuminates the artwork, causing it to appear to glow, pulsate, and float in space. American Authors with Billy Raffoul at  FTC’s The Warehouse, Fairfield

Kickin' Off Their "Best Night of My Life Tour," this Brooklyn quartet offers up a propulsive mix of summery indie pop and meticulously crafted, commercial alt-rock. American Authors has played awards shows, hit the stages of legendary venues all over the world, and toured the world with bands such as Andy Grammar, OAR, OneRepublic, and The Fray. Their anthemic hit single “Best Day of My Life” has been featured in over 600 movie trailers, TV shows, commercials, and as a theme song for the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

 “LOVE, Acoustic Style” at The Wilton Playshop, Wilton

Friday, February 20, 8:00 pm

Grab your loved ones for an intimate evening of heart-warming and toe-tapping acoustic love songs, featuring local talent, including members of the all-star cover band Captain Obvious. A Valentine reception will follow and "B" Chic boutique will be selling Valentine’s gifts before and after the concert.

Sweetheart Ball at Stepping Stones Museum for Children, Norwalk

Saturday, February 10, 4:00 - 8:00 pm

All children and their favorite grown-ups are invited to glam-up for a pre-Valentine’s Day soiree. Share a horse-drawn carriage ride with someone you love, and get creative by designing your own corsage or boutonniere. Enjoy a special dance experience with music hosted by Star Factory's DJ Lou, plus sweetheart-themed activities and games to make your heart sing.

Broadway Melodies at Klein Memorial Auditorium, Bridgeport

Saturday, February 10, 6:00 - 9:00 pm

A Fairfield County Children’s Choir performance of Broadway tunes from fan-favorite musicals such as Encanto and Matilda. Join from your seat at The Klein Memorial or from your couch via livestream. The celebration kicks off with a silent auction and cocktail hour.

“DESTINY” at The Ridgefield Playhouse, Ridgefield

Saturday, February 10, 7:30 - 9:30 pm 

Join the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra for a concert including Rossini's Overture to the Barber of Seville, Carl Czerny's Concerto for Piano Four Hands, featuring pianists Christina and Michelle Naughton, and Beethoven's Symphony No. 5.

“Carousel: A Concert” at Norwalk City Hall, Norwalk

Saturday, February 10, 7:30 - 9:45 pm

Norwalk Symphony & New Paradigm Theatre collaborate on a performance with your favorite Carousel tunes such as “If I Loved You,” “June is Busting Out All Over,” and “You’ll Never Walk Alone.”  The Domestic Violence Crisis Center is the nonprofit partner for this production, and the concert will bring awareness to the crisis of domestic violence.

DANCE Is In The AIR at the Darien Arts Center

Saturday, February 10, 7:30 pm and Sunday, February 11, 2:00 pm 

Come and enjoy a program of love, passion and playfulness by East Coast Contemporary Ballet in a beautiful intimate setting. This performance features four neoclassical and contemporary love duets and one original and fresh world premiere.

“Woof Woof the Shadow Pup” at  Westport Country Playhouse, Westport

Step into the magical world of shadow theater, where adventure and possibility are never-ending. Immerse yourself in an action-packed experience filled with enchanted castles, rocket ships, and zany zoo animals. 

Belgian Chocolate: Romantic Rhapsodies for Violin and Piano at Fairfield Public Library, Fairfield

Sunday, February 11, 2:00- 4:30 pm

Violinist Katie Lansdale and pianist Marija Stroke will celebrate Belgian romanticism, and its influence, with pieces from Cesar Franck, Claude Debussy, Lili Boulanger and more. A reception with light refreshments after the concert offers listeners a chance to meet the performers.

"The Complete Beethoven Violin Sonata" at The Suzuki Music Schools, Westport

Sunday, February 11, 4:00 pm 

The first in the WSHU Public Radio’s concert series, this concert features award-winning violinist Andrew Smith, director of the Suzuki Music Schools, and Grammy-nominated pianist Joshua Pierce. The series opens with Opus 12 “Beethoven’s Arrival in Vienna”  with Sonata no. 1 in D, Sonata no. 2 in A, and Sonata no. 3 in E flat. 

My Story, Our Future at The Greenwich Historical Society

Through February 26th, 9:00 am - 6:00pm  

This collaborative initiative organized by the India Cultural Center and the Asia and Asian American Studies Institute at UConn is a must-see. A student-curated exhibit highlighting personal family stories and artifacts gathered as part of the My Story, Our Future project which aims to collect and contribute stories about South Asian American youth identity in Connecticut. The exhibit will be on view in the Historical Society Museum through February 26th.

“BE MY VALENTINE” at Palace Theatre, Stamford

Monday, February 12, 7:30 - 9:00 pm

Head over to a special event by Connecticut Ballet, a one-night only evening of passionate duets followed by an onstage after-party. Curated by Artistic Director Brett Raphael, the evening will feature classical and contemporary works such as 'Romeo & Juliet Balcony Scene Pas de Deux,' Lynne Taylor-Corbett's haunting 'Full Moon' to music by Paul Winter plus a world premiere by renowned tango choreographer Dardo Galletto to music by Argentinian composer, Astor Piazzolla.
