Chelsea Piers Connecticut partners with Fairfield County Sports Commission

Chelsea Piers Connecticut and the Fairfield County Sports Commission are pleased to announce a new partnership that includes relocating the Sports Commission’s Hall of Fame plaques to Chelsea Piers Connecticut as well as offering $12,000 in Chelsea Piers Summer Camp Scholarships for the 2019 Summer session to be awarded by the Commission to its various partner organizations.

With Chelsea Piers as the new home of the Fairfield County Sports Hall of Fame, more than a million people from the Chelsea Piers community will see the amazing athletes and coaches that Fairfield County has produced over the years.

“Chelsea Piers shares many of the same principles as the Sports Commission,” commented Greta Wagner, Executive Vice President, Chelsea Piers Connecticut. “We introduce thousands of children to sports every year, support and develop their skills as they
grow-up and coach our competitive athletes to achieve their full potential.”

“When we were searching for the right location to display our Hall of Fame, Chelsea Piers Connecticut immediately came to mind,” said Tom Chiappetta, FCSC Executive Director. “We were not only looking for the proper place and adequate space necessary, but for a like-minded partner that would help us grow the visibility of the Hall. Chelsea Piers fit all of that and more, as the amount of children and families that pass through their facility will give a great boost to the Hall of Fame’s awareness as well as the work of the Commission.”
