
Orchestra Lumos’ first public performance under its new brand identity is a cabaret gala evening featuring the legendary musical theater champion, Maria Friedman
Orchestra Lumos, formerly the Stamford Symphony, will present Britishmmusical theater icon, Maria Friedman, noted by Time Out, London as “one the most celebrated British musical theatre actors of all time” to headline this season’s gala.
Long considered one of the true authorities on the rich and complex music of Sondheim, Friedman will perform a selection of beloved works by the composer, as well as Marvin Hamlisch and Michel Legrand. Friedman will be joined by famed pianist and Broadway veteran Todd Ellison
and vocalists Ross Lekites (Tina - The Tina Turner Musical) and Lewis Cleale (The Book of Mormon), as well as young artists from the New Canaan High School Theatre program, Darien High School Theater 308 and Staples Players from Staples High School, Westport.
