CP-AC Water Polo Players Qualify for USA National Team Selection Camp

Chelsea Piers Athletic Club is pleased to announce five players have been selected for the USA National Team Selection Camp in Orange County, CA. The National Team Selection Camp pulls the top 50 - 75 players from around the country to determine which 20 players will make up Team USA for international competition.

Eighteen male CP-AC athletes qualified for the Olympic Development Program (ODP) National Championships with four being selected to continue to the National Team Selection Camp on April 7 & 8. Four female CP-AC Water Polo athletes competed for spots with one being selected for the National Team Selection Camp May 26 & 27.

Thomas Cass – Old Greenwich, Greenwich High School

Filip Norell – Old Greenwich, Greenwich High School

Jack Bruce – Old Greenwich, Greenwich High School

Ben Bryan – Darien, Middlesex Middle School

Lauren Steele – Old Greenwich, Eastern Middle School

“We are thrilled at the tremendous talent and growth at our CP-AC Water Polo team,” commented Greta Wagner, Executive Director, Chelsea Piers Connecticut. “Sending five players onto the National Team Selection Camp, is the second highest number of players coming from any club in the Northeast. For a team that is only four years old, this is a huge accomplishment and a testament to the athletes’ commitment, training and our outstanding coaching.”

CP-AC Water Polo is a United States Water Polo Club ranked as one of the largest and fastest growing water polo clubs in the northeast under the guidance of Paul Ramaley. From developmental teams to elite teams, CP-AC Water Polo hosts girls and boys U10-U18. Players compete for their high school, collegiate and national team programs.
