Swim Safety Information Session For Parents in Stamford

Stamford EMS, Safety4Kids and Chelsea Piers are proud to announce a FREE water safety information session to be held at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 31st at Chelsea Piers Connecticut.  The session will provide parents with important swim safety information.

“We need to protect our children by learning how to prevent water safety accidents,” said Patricia Squires, Stamford EMS Chief and C.E.O.  “Parents and education play pivotal roles in protecting children, and we are thankful to Safety4Kids and Chelsea Piers for partnering on this event.”

“Now that we are in the summer months, water safety is crucial,” said Thomas Blair, President, of Safety4Kids. “It is estimated that 90% of all accidents and injuries among children can be avoided with proper education and supervision.”

This free event will take place in the Loft at Chelsea Piers, located at 1 Blachley Road in Stamford, CT.

This event is part of a year-long “Safety Step-Up” initiative presented by Stamford EMS in partnership with Safety4Kids. The two organizations have teamed up to work towards preventing accidents, illness and injury by raising safety awareness issues through outreach in our community. The Safety Step-Up initiative will include a series of safety events, community partnerships, and plenty of safety tips to keep ourselves, our neighbors and our families educated on best safety practices.  The next safety event will be an August bike safety event.
