Stamford EMS Holds One-Day Fundraiser on Wednesday 9/12

On Wednesday, September 12th, Stamford EMS will hold a one-day fundraiser to raise funds for a new Airtraq Video Laryngoscopy System. The nonprofit provider of prehospital medical care is seeking this support as they continue to deliver exceptional care to our growing area.

“As a nonprofit organization, we rely upon donations to help us to purchase life-saving instruments,” said Patricia Squires, Chief and CEO. “We have the distinction as Connecticut’s only CAAS accredited agency, and in order to save lives and maintain this extraordinary level of care, our medical equipment must be first-rate.”

The video laryngoscopy system allows the paramedic to see the anatomy at the back of the throat more clearly, making the passing of a life-saving breathing tube into the trachea easier.
