Stamford Author and Retirement Planner Introduces New Book

Most of us don’t plan on working our entire lives. We want to relax, travel, volunteer and spend more time with family and friends. But reaching this goal isn’t always easy. Local Certified Financial Planner Nahum Daniels wrote about a new approach to retirement investing in his international best-selling book, ‘Retire Reset!’

His book illustrates how to use investments and insurance to guarantee lifetime income. Daniels says integrating the two allows retirees to live generously and free from the feeling they might run out of money.

“A retirement nest egg, unlike a standard investment portfolio, can’t depend on stocks and bonds to succeed because they are simply too volatile”, said Daniels.

He has seen first-hand how his unconventional approach creates a more reliable future. With 10,000 baby boomers retiring every day with an average of $172,000, his book is more timely than ever! Nahum challenges the conventional Wall Street approach.

“The modern life annuity is designed to protect and grow capital while maximizing guaranteed income for life. This should anchor the retirement portfolio, with stocks and bonds possibly included to play a supporting role”, said Daniels.

Nahum was honored to have one of the most respected and renowned economists recommend his book. The research surrounding retirement is often complex, but Nahum translates the research into language that’s easy to understand.

Yale School of Management Professor, Roger Ibbotson, PhD, says, “the book is easy to read and entertaining. It does an outstanding job of laying out the financial challenges retirees face today.”

Nahum puts a human face on the retirement planning process by offering personal examples drawn from a 30-year career.
