The Stamford Partnership Appoints New Executive Director

Economic and community development expert, Jon Winkel, has been named Executive Director of the Stamford Partnership, a public-private partnership designed to enhance the city for all of those that enjoy it as a place to live, work, shop, dine and learn.

Winkel enters the role with well over a decade of organizational development experience, most recently serving in the private sector as a Managing Partner of SquareWheel Group, a Stamford-based marketing strategy firm. In the public sector, Winkel serves as Chairman of Stamford’s Economic and Urban Redevelopment Development Commissions and is the Founder of the region’s most prominent innovation festival, Stamford Innovation Week, which has enjoyed tremendous growth over the last two years. Winkel also serves as a member of The Stamford Public Education Foundation’s Board of Directors.

He went on to say, “The Stamford Partnership is a key contributor to the city's role as a leader in smart and sustainable growth in this region. We have a queue of cutting-edge projects that will be announced shortly."
