Scholarships Available for High School Seniors in Stamford

Two scholarships available for students who demonstrated exceptional volunteerism during their high school careers

United Way of Western Connecticut is seeking applications for its annual Roberta K. Eichler Heart of Gold Scholarship. The scholarship recognizes seniors attending any Stamford high school (public or private) who have volunteered extensively in the Stamford community over the course of their high school careers.

This year, two outstanding seniors will each receive a $5,000 scholarship to support their continuing education. Students must be nominated by a school guidance counselor, staff from a local nonprofit, or a member of a local church or synagogue. Students are encouraged to work with nominators on their applications.

Applications are due by Tuesday, March 31 at 5 p.m. and all applications are to be completed online. The Roberta K. Eichler Heart of Gold Scholarship Applications can be found on United Way’s website: https://www.uwwesternct.org/heartofgoldscholarshipapplication

A selection committee will review nominations and the scholarships will be awarded at United Way of Western Connecticut's Stamford Community Council Meeting on May 14, 2020.
