Why Small Businesses Matter
Shop small, do big things for your community
Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!
You're IT PhatBurn!
Three questions with Paul Wintergerst, CEO of PhatBurn.
Why did you start your business?
I started my business to fill a hole in my personal life. Getting to the gym 5 times per week was not an issue for me. It was the time it took to meal prep. I tried meal prep delivery services but nothing was according to a plan. Everything was all over the place. There was no place I could go to workout, get a meal plan and then have someone actually cook it for me. I created PhatBurn to scratch my own itch so t speak.
I wish I could make it easier to understand the importance of putting more effort into meal planning and less into grinding it out at the gym 5-6 days per week. Human default nature is to work out more. Its a law of diminishing returns. Just a little more effort on the meal side will increase the result exponentially with the same exact gym routine.
How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?
