Chelsea Piers Connecticut Welcomes the Skating Club of Fairfield County

Chelsea Piers Connecticut is pleased to announce the affiliation with the Skating Club of Fairfield County (SCFC). The Rinks at Chelsea Piers Connecticut will serve as the new home for the newly renamed figure skating club.

Earlier this month, the Springdale Figure Skating Club announced a USFSA approved name change to The Skating Club of Fairfield County and affiliation with Chelsea Piers Connecticut to support and develop the figure skating community at the state of the art two-rink facility.

“A skating club is instrumental to the success of any figure skating program," commented Greta Wagner, Executive Director, Chelsea Piers Connecticut. "We are thrilled to be able to work closely with the Skating Club of Fairfield County to promote the sport of figure skating in the area. We welcome them and look forward to many successful years together.”

The Skating Club of Fairfield County and Chelsea Piers CT will work together in continuing to develop a safe, fun, and productive skating environment. In addition to a new name and look for the skating club, there will be exciting changes and events for their 170+ members, including a newly added Prime Time subscription freestyle, a Ballet for Gymnasts and Figure Skaters dance class, USFSA test sessions, Club ice shows, community skating events and more. The Skating Club of Fairfield County will continue to sponsor Skyliners’ non-qualified lines under their new name.
