Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT Wedge Inn!

Three questions with Rich Lucherini, owner of Wedge Inn

Why did you start your business?

At the age of 24, I opened my own deli because I love to serve the community with delicious, high-quality food. When I saw the opportunity to purchase The Wedge Inn, I knew I had to.  This restaurant has been in Stamford as a landmark for almost 60 years, and I couldn’t let that history die.  I purchased the restaurant and continued serving the community with the food they love.

Finish this sentence in regard to your business. “I wish I could…”

I wish I could serve every single resident in Stamford Connecticut. For any individual that has never tried our food, they are missing out.  I wish I could prove to anyone that has never been or never heard of us that they would love our food, service and prices! “
