Why Small Businesses Matter
Shop small, do big things for your community
Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story.
You're IT Accel-Health!
Three questions with Reuben Malkiel, DC, owner of Accel-Health.
Why did you start your business?
I have a passion for helping people become pain-free without the use of drugs or surgeries.
Finish this sentence in regard to your business. “I wish I could…”
I wish I could have people understand that there is an order to your physical health and reducing the pain and inflammation. Self-care should be tried first, if that does not work, try natural remedies, acupuncture, physical rehabilitation, chiropractic, and Chinese medicine to name a few. Medication can be used to help with the pain, but patients need to understand that there is no correction to the cause of the symptoms with medications. Surgery should be considered the last and final option. Every condition is different and surgery may be required depending on the diagnosis.
I use several businesses to support my business, including but not limited to, Shape your Being, Crossfit Capability and Haute Healing Spa.
