Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT Danger Gallery!

Three questions with Holly Danger, owner of Danger Gallery.

Why did you start your business?

I started Danger Gallery in 2016 because I grew up in Stamford and was always in search of art, music and creative inspiration. I felt that for most of my life I had to drive to NYC to find what I was looking for. When I found my space at the Glenbrook Industrial Park a creative mecca was born. I wanted to build a community and network of creative people that would all really benefit from meeting and being inspired by each other. At Danger Gallery we host pop-up exhibits, experiential events and live performances that focus on video art, projection and experience. It's also become my studio space where I work as a full time video artist, and work on post-production projects like promotional videos, motion graphics, and video installations for galleries, galas, brands and performances. This is my life's work and I'm excited to share it with the Stamford community.

What is your best selling product/service?

There is a tie between my two best selling services!  A lot of people enjoy working with me on their promotional videos. I specialize in making highly memorable 1-2 minute videos that promote your events, products or services. I have 20 years of experience in post-production, advertising, and corporate video, with a foundation in graphic design. I have a lot of enthusiasm for creating this type of work since I've done it in every capacity from experimental videos to corporate and traditional.  I love to meet new people and hear what they are looking to achieve with their business goals and creating videos they are excited to share with their communities while driving people to take action.

A lot of people also contact me who are looking to add video or custom branded content to their events!  Often times I'll work with event planners or production companies to create custom visual content to be played on LED screens, video walls or on stage at special events to bring their decor and branding to life. I can create and provide custom content with your material or from scratch, and I can also create large scale video projection to cover the walls and add a memorable touch of decor to your special event.

How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?

When we have events at our gallery we serve and support Half Full Beer!  Especially the can that we designed here at the Danger Gallery - their incredible Supernova Sour!  We have also teamed up with Stamford Innovation Week for the last two years bringing art and innovation to our local community.
