Italian Center of Stamford Hires New Director of Catering

 The Italian Center of Stamford (IC) has hired John Gervasi as the Director of Catering for their catering and banquet department, Serafina at the IC.

“I am excited to join the talented team at this beautiful facility,” said Gervasi. “My goal is to take Serafina at the IC to the next level by expanding our menu selection and enhancing our offerings and services.”

“We are delighted that John has joined our catering department,” said Paul Hickey, Executive Director. “His extensive experience as an Executive Chef and Catering Director will make him an asset to our team.”

Gervasi has worked in the hospitality industry for more than three decades. Prior to joining Serafina at the IC, he was the Catering Director and Executive Chef at Mulino’s at Lake Isle Country Club in Eastchester. Previously, he was the Campus Executive Chef at the University of New Haven and owned Gervasi’s restaurant in White Plains, New York and Crystal Bay on the Hudson in Peekskill, New York.

Serafina at the IC is Fairfield County’s premier event venue, providing the perfect setting for weddings, private events, corporate gatherings, meetings, galas, fundraisers and outdoor events. Serafina at the IC can accommodate parties of all size. The 12,000 square foot facility features a grand ballroom that canhold up to 600 guests and two smaller rooms for more intimate events, as well as Al Fresco, the finest tented outdoor grounds in the area.
