Three questions with Shireen D’Andrea, founder of Ice Cream Emergency.
Why did you start your business?
I always wanted to own my own business, one that is fun and different. Plus, I LOVE ice cream. So when I was introduced to the franchise, ICE CREAM EMERGENCY, I knew that it was meant to be. Ice Cream Emergency is a uniquely themed ice cream parlor on wheels. Guests get served INSIDE by our Ice Cream Board Certified Scoopologists that are dressed in bright red scrubs. It's an experience with gourmet ice cream and a huge toppings bar. We have several packages to choose from, and we cater to all types and size events.
What is your best selling product/service?
The best selling Rescue Package we offer is #3- Create Your Own Sundaes! Guests receive mega scoops of ice cream, and then they help themselves to the toppings bar, which includes eight sweet and crunchy toppings. These include toppings such as M&Ms, gourmet nut mixes, Oreo Cookie crumbles, gummy bears, and more. Then the guests have their choice of different sauces, like amazing hot fudge, peanut butter sauce, caramel, and chocolate sauce. Gobs of whipped cream and maraschino cherries are added as a finishing touch.
How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services), and can you name them?
We work with a lot of different local businesses. Never know when you need something on the road!
