Three questions with Neal Laughlin owner of Mohawk Kitchens.
What do you want the community to know? Are there ways for the community to help you and other local businesses to prosper?
We are a small local business, serving Stamford and the surrounding area for over 40 years. We provide design work, cabinetry, and countertops for the kitchen or any room in the house, including the bathroom, family room, home offices, laundry rooms, and dens.
Are you offering any new products, or ways for customers to purchase your products or services that are popular during this crisis?
Since the shut-down in March, with people spending more time in their homes, we find they are looking for ways to change the functionality of their kitchens. Over the past year we have taken on several new (to us) established vendors for cabinetry to give our customers more of a variety and a wider price range of products. We are more than happy to speak with our customers via phone or e-mail. Having said that, we do need to meet with our clients during any remodeling or renovation project to confirm the measurements of the space. When choosing cabinetry we will meet with the clients to help them in their selection of design, woods, colors, styles, etc. Though the internet is a fabulous source for choosing, it is always best for them to see and touch for themselves, as colors, textures, and details can often vary from what is seen in a picture or on the web.
Are there certain individuals or organizations that supported you and your business through this trying time?
We feel that we have the support of local organizations like the Stamford Chamber, local neighborhood organizations and businesses, our clients and our vendors who have all been encouraging and supportive of our business during this unprecedented time.
