Why Small Businesses Matter
Shop small, do big things for your community
Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!
You're IT True Beauty!
Three questions with Christie Caroll, founder of True Beauty.
Why did you start your business?
I decided to start the journey to become an esthetician after spending my teenage years and much of my adult life struggling with acne. I suffered for years searching for help with what seemed like an impossible task to clear my skin. My parents did everything they could to help me but after seeing a few doctors and an esthetician monthly, nothing helped. Finally, I decided why not educate myself and figure out how to treat it on my own. Once I learned to clear my own skin, that passion only grew and I realized I needed to help others with their skin concerns whether that be acne, signs of aging, or anything really!
What is your best selling product/service?
How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?
Most mornings my day starts at Sweet Pea’s in Old Greenwich, they have the most amazing coffee and breakfast! For my laundry service, I love to use The Laundry Room! The great local business close by they pick up and drop off which is beyond helpful on my busy days!
