Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT Moore Strategies!

Four questions with Susan Moore, co-founder and CEO of Moore Strategies.

Why did you start your business?

Moore Strategies was created to help small businesses succeed and create opportunities for other entrepreneurs to explore their passions. In today’s world of virtual communication, everything small businesses knew about how to effectively connect with their target market has changed. The reason our team at Moore Strategies is so effective in our communication strategy is that we were built out of unprecedented change.

What is your best-selling product/service?

Social Media content creation and management is our best selling service. Social media has become an increasingly important resource to help grow a business and gain new clients. For our clients, we start with a content strategy based on relevant data and market research to ensure that all content always serves to achieve our client's communication goals.

How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?

Our main client base is from the local Fairfield county area. We support our local community by giving local businesses the tools to succeed for an accessible price. Some local businesses include Greenwich Sentinel, Lica Naturals, My Voting Power, the Cedar School, and All American Athletes.

Have you "reimagined" your small business?

I have reimagined Moore Strategies by hiring recent graduates who are energetic, gritty, and research-driven. We saw the world shift in the last three months of our college careers and have learned what it means to adapt to this new communications environment. Our agency is not reliant on tradition or old systems. We use the current social, economic, and political climate to inform our marketing strategies and campaigns. We are listening, observing, and interacting with our current environment in order to uplift small businesses and allow them to join the competitive market and succeed in turbulent times.
