Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT Fremco!

Four questions with Lloyd J. Fremed, founder of Fremco.

Why did you start your business?

I started my business in 2005. I had worked for Xerox Corporation and then was offered to represent the company as an authorized Agent/Dealer. They trained me how to start and run a business. Later I started representing companies in cybersecurity and communications as well.

What is your best-selling product/service?

My best-selling products include copier-scanner-printers and telephone systems. My top services enable businesses to be effective, efficient, and secure.

How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?

We support over 100 businesses with security, communications, and technology services.

Have you "reimagined" your small business?

Yes, the past few years I used my past experience with ADT and Burns International Security, Xerox, and telecommunication companies such as Sprint, T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon, and Comcast to offer best-of-breed business products and services.
