HOLD Why Small Businesses Matter in Stamford: New View PR

Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT New View PR!

Three questions with Elisa Gorman, founder of New View PR.

Why did you start your business?

I started New View PR right as Social Media was proving to be beneficial as a marketing and promotional tool for small businesses.
For years I worked in the hospitality industry, waitressing, bartending, and managing. Anyone in the hospitality business knows the hours are long, the pay isn’t always great and the burnout rate is huge.

I wanted to channel my “social butterfly” skills in a way that I could make my own hours but still have the excitement of interacting with businesses and their clientele on a regular basis! That is why New View PR was born.

What is your best-selling product/service?

The New View PR services include an array of offerings including content creation (creating compelling engaging content that captures new or old followers by using authentic photos & videos), event coordination (ribbon cuttings, customer appreciation, community collaborations), press release development, media outreach, and digital design.

Usually, businesses reach out because they want to become more visible in the community and create connections to their clients.

How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?

New View PR has had the opportunity to work with close to 100 local businesses in Fairfield County and Westchester County communities.
I have been able to gain knowledge and experience through working closely with other business owners, helping me to become an extension of the business that I am promoting.

To list a few of my more current partnerships: CT Power Yoga, Greenology, Longford’s Ice Cream, SoundWaters, Gotham Burger Social Club, Row House Stamford, Haute Healing Oasis and so much more.

Elisa would like to nominate Chad Smith of Pinot’s Palette Stamford to be featured next!
