Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT Buono Bread & More!

Three questions with Suzanne Buono, founder of Buono Bread & More.

Why did you start your business?

After turning 50 and being a widow with two soon-to-be college-bound young adults I felt an overwhelming urge to pursue my passion. I started baking bread out of my home during the height of Covid. I am now in a commercial kitchen cooking a restaurant size menu! Cooking has always been something that I love to do.

I love creating my menus, testing recipes, photographing my dishes, and marketing my business on social media.

What is your best-selling product/service?

Everything is homemade, prepared fresh, and delivered to my customers daily. Soups, 10 different pieces of bread/rolls, seasonal giant sandwiches, family dinners, meatballs with fresh ricotta, and salads.

How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?

Donut Delight for my morning coffee!

Suzanne would like to nominate Eric's Bagels to be featured next!
