Townhouse, known for providing locals and visitors with a wine-centric dining experience in Greenwich, Connecticut, is offering guests a rare opportunity to wine and dine with Michael Honig of Honig Vineyard & Winery in Napa Valley, California on Thursday, May 19th at 6:30 p.m.
Executive Chef Stephen Lewandowski will take guests on a culinary journey through a delicious reception and four-course dining experience with unexpected flavor combinations, while Michael Honig will discuss his family’s highly-rated wines, explain tasting notes and the winemaking process.
Founded in 1964, Honig Vineyard & Winery has been producing high quality wines. Located in the heart of Napa Valley, this family-run estate is a leader in sustainability, both in the vineyard and the winery, producing award-winning Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Guests will mix and mingle, enjoying Tuna Poke Crisp, Maine Lobster Roll and White Truffle Potato Croquette, paired with the 2021 Honig Sauvignon Blanc before being seated for dinner.
The dinner menu starts with Butter Poaches Maine Lobster, spring corn, favas, pancetta and thai-scented crèma, paired with 2019 Honig Sauvignon Blanc Rutherford Reserve.
The third course features Trumpet Mushroom Crusted Rack of Lamb, sweet carrot purée, Sherwood Farms spinach, picked rhubarb paired with 2017 Honig Cabernet Sauvignon Bartolucci and 2011 Honig Cabernet Sauvignon Bartolucci.
The meal concludes with Violet Raspberry Mousse Bar, accompanied by short bread cookie, dragon fruit glaze and marinated raspberries enjoyed with the 2018 Honig Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc.
