Stamford Open Space and Watershed Land Acquisition Program

Mayor Caroline Simmons has that the City of Stamford has been awarded $2,250,000 from the State Open Space and Watershed Land Acquisition Grant Program. This acquisition, 4.9 miles north of the city center, consists of 2 parcels with wooded areas and trails designed for hiking, walking, and nature observation.

Simmons explains, "The parcels are within the Mianus River Greenway, which protects the Mianus River entering Cos Cob Harbor and Long Island Sound.
