Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT Jeffrey R. Matz Architects!

Three questions with architect Jeffrey R Matz.

Why did you start your business?

It is just in the genes! My grandfather and father were architects and now my nephew is following suit too, so four generations are strong! My mother was also a fashion writer and editor.

What is your best-selling product/service?

Our bestseller - Bespoke residential homes!

Have you reimagined your small business?

As a licensed real estate salesperson as well, I am affiliated with William Pitt Sotheby's where I can also offer my architectural services. I have also written a book recently on mid-century modern houses of New Canaan!
