Three questions with Sensei Nick Demetrius Master Instructor and owner of Stamford Tiger Schulmann's Martial Arts.
Why did you start your business?
I have been doing martial arts for over 30 years and I always knew I wanted to do this as a career. In 2008 I took over the Stamford Tiger Schulmann's Martial Arts location. I love teaching kids because I know the martial arts skills they’re learning will make them more confident in all aspects of their lives – as it did for me! For adults, our classes create “a mental vacation” from the distraction and stresses of the workday.
What is your best-selling product/service?
We are a mixed martial arts studio and offer classes in kickboxing, jiu-jitsu, and many martial arts styles. We start at ages 3 yrs and up.
We try to have all our events hosted by local businesses, from birthday parties to in-house events! We like to get our food from "the Wedge Inn" and "Ridgeway Pizza" both great places in Stamford, CT.
