Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT Balanced Beeing OT!

Four questions with Aimee Elsner, founder of Balanced Beeing OT.

Why did you start your business?

I re-ignited my passion for occupational therapy during covid. I found CT WBDC and they helped me rebrand and rediscover what was possible as an Occupational Therapist.

What is your best-selling product/service?

Private Occupational Therapy Intervention for children and young adults using holistic and traditional treatment techniques.

How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?

I refer clients' family members to Indigo Wellness!

Have you "reimagined" your small business?

Yes! I have added Life Skills Coaching to create a space to assist young adults in discovering what would work for them in their lives.

Aimee would like to nominate Dr. Rachel Messenger from Cosmetic and Family Dentistry to be featured next!
