Three questions with Katerina Verdz, founder of Lash Brow Room.
Why did you start your business?
Long story short… I immigrated to the states in 2012. After living in NYC for 5 years, I got married and moved to Stamford Connecticut. Without good English language skills, without parents or friends around, but with a big dream (to create a cozy, beautiful place for women, with amazing service and a friendly atmosphere), I started Lash Brow Room.
It's a place where a team of the best stylists can help all women to emphasize natural beauty, gain confidence, and most importantly relax and from everyday stress for a couple of hours. I discovered that my job helps me find new friends and improves my language knowledge, and of course, working with women and highlighting their beauty makes me happier every day.
What is your best-selling product/service?
I would say that every type of service is popular, it really depends on a woman’s lifestyle, age, and sometimes even on the client's nationality or culture. Everything is individual, and it is what makes our job interesting. There is no doubt that every woman is dreaming about perfect eyebrows and in our studio, you can find many different services for brow care as well as eyelash beauty. from a lash lift, and lash tint to Eyelash Extensions, we can find the best solution for every face type and eye shape to make the face look bright and expressive.
How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?
Small business owners should always have each other's backs that’s why I support and always recommend other local beauty studios including VStudio. They specialize in nails and are located on the same floor as Lash Brow Room. I also support Rapidpress, they saved me with all the paper merch that I needed at the start of my business journey, and they print all our posters, cards, and papers.
