Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT Hulk Hauling!

Three questions with Kris, founder of Hulk Hauling.

Why did you start your business?

I started my business because I saw a need within the community I live in for responsible, equitable junk removal.  My team and I properly dispose of all types of materials from household goods to construction debris.  We are appropriately licensed and insured and have made a commitment to the environment to "recycle and operate green" when we can, which saves tons of waste from local landfills each year.

What is your best-selling product/service?

Our best-selling service is our furniture removal for both personal residences and businesses alike.

How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?

We love to keep our business local whenever possible.  We get all our "print needs" done from SignPros in Stamford.  Our mechanic for our trucks is West High Service Station, also in Stamford and we fuel up our trucks at the Royal Mart/Gulf on High Ridge, just above the merit parkway.
