Stamford Police Welcome New Sergeants!

The Stamford Police Department is proud to introduce our newest Sergeants! Officers John Rizzitello, Desiree Sheperis and Adriana Molina were sworn in today by Mayor Martine at a ceremony at Police Headquarters.

Sgt. John Rizzitello has been serving the City of Stamford since 2013. It is a family affair as his brother Joseph Rizzitello is also a police officer in Stamford.

Sgt. Adriana Molina has been serving the City of Stamford as a police officer since 2005. Prior to that Sgt. Molina was a Public Safety Dispatcher. Sgt. Adriana Molina is the first female Sergeant of Hispanic descent to serve in the Stamford Police Department.

Sgt. Desiree Sheperis has been serving the City of Stamford since 2006. Law Enforcement is a family business for her as well. Her husband, Vincent Sheperis is a Stamford Police Officer, her brother is a Norwalk Police Officer and her parents served in law enforcement as well.

Congratulations to all. The best of luck in your careers. We are extremely proud of you and very grateful for your service to our great City.
