Original Poetry & Prose May 19

Fairfield University MFA Candidates and Alumni will read from their original works for "An Evening of Poetry and Prose" at the Library on Monday, May 19 at 7 pm. The program is free and open to the public.

Faculty mentoring by award-winning authors and poets lead the MFA in Creative Writing program at Fairfield University. Workshops with New York City editors and agents and residency options in Galway and Florence are also offered. The Library program will feature readings of original works in poetry and prose by area students and alumni of Fairfield University. Among those taking part will be author Chris Belden, mathematician and Professor Dr. Ben Fine, poet Jonathan Greenfield, AdamTroy Newsome, playwright and author Steve Otfinoski, adjunct professor and novelist Joe Reynolds, Jillian Ross and editor and poet Barbara Wanamaker.

"An Evening of Poetry and Prose" will begin at 7 pm in the Lovell Room of the Stratford Library on Monday, May 19. For further information, call the Library at 203.385.4162.
