Doing business in Connecticut conference Thursday at WestConn

The topic is: Tax incentives

Senator Mc Lachlan's office released word that the state Department of Labor will hold a free conference on Thursday, June 5 at Western Connecticut State University for Connecticut business owners interested in learning about state job and tax incentives. Business owners are encouraged to take this opportunity to explore what Connecticut can do to help identify qualified employees and train new hires for your field. Participants get a free business plan and marketing analysis.

The conference will discuss hiring incentives, tax credits and how to bid on state contracts and low-interest financing opportunities. 

Finding qualified employees

The conference will also provide information on the state's Subsidized Training and Employment Program (Step Up), the Small Business Express program, how to find and recruit qualified employees, how to become a state vendor, and tax incentives for equipment upgrades.

You have until June 3 to register for this conference.  The conference will be run from 8 to 10:30 a.m. with registration (click here for the form) beginning at 7 a.m.
