Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (D-CT 3) will meet with local business owners and constituents tomorrow at the Dutchess Diner on the corner of Ferry Boulevard and Main Street tomorrow morning form 8:30 am to 9:30 am. Congresswoman DeLauro and her staff have launched the "Rosa on the Road" tour to hear concerns and field questions from constituents.
Representative DeLauro has recently launched her bid for a 13th term in Congress. May 12 through 16 commemorates Small Business Week, and Congresswoman DeLauro is traveling throughout the district meeting with constituents. Retired U.S. Senator Joseph Lieberman often made similar tours at diners and local eateries to hear constituent experiences.
DeLauro was first elected in Connecticut's Third Congressional District in 1990 and serves as the ranking member to the Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies, and also serves as a member to the Appropriations Committee and Subcommittee on Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies. Connecticut's Third Congressioanl District covers from Stratford all the way to Guilford on the coast, and travels north to Middletown through Waterbury and the Naugatuck Valley.
