
First Thursday Gallery Hop Shines Bright Light on Yonkers' Multicultural Past and Present Through Art Exhibitions |
Philipse Manor Hall, PC4, Urban Studio Unbound (US+U) and Riverfront Art Gallery will be open to the public from 5:30-7:30 p.m. that evening.
Blue Door Art Gallery and Philipse Manor Hall are presenting a group exhibition "Assyrians in Yonkers, A Tale of Hope and Survival" that will run from Sept. 7-Nov. 21 that features art, historical photographs and artifacts of Yonkers' Assyrian community. Other gallery exhibits are listed below.
Local restaurants, including Bella Havana, Café Hudson, Dolphin, Francey Brady, Guapo, Khangri Sushi, Le Moulin, X20, Yonkers Brewery and Zuppas, will be offering a ten percent discount on food and drink specials for all gallery attendees. Visitors can pick up a restaurant voucher at any of the five venues.
