There are 26,000 restaurants in New York City and Cindy Guyer just added to that list. The stunning, petite, blond dynamo opened Guyer's on Manhattan's Upper West Side, yesterday.
Located at 286 Columbus Ave. @ 74th street, the 1000 sq. ft, 60 seat establishment has been reincarnated. Previously known as Wine and Roses, Guyer has switched from investor to owner of the newly named spot.
Guyer, is a former Playboy model and actress. As a result, her career led her to become the face on the cover of more than 400 romance novels.
She translates that mood to the cafe's decor. Darkly lit with exposed brick walls, Guyer's exudes a mellow, candle lit ambiance. The bar is strategically shaped in the form of a U. Perfect to help a fleeting glance become a withering gaze.
In addition to a great wine selection, the food menu includes French crust pizza, salad and a variety of cheese choices.
Guyer's is open Sunday through Thursday, noon to 2 am. Friday and Saturday till 3 am.
