Hot Jazz on a Cool Bronx Night

If you stayed home Wednesday night, you missed Jazz Night at An Beal Bocht. The popular Irish pub is located steps over the south Yonkers border in the boogey down Bronx at 445 West 238th Street.

The award winning Tri Fi Trio was so hot that the ceiling fans were in hi mode.

For ten years TRI-FI has been creating original jazz music, developing a personal style that is contemporary while still deep in the tradition of the classic piano trio.

In 2003, Matthew Fries (winner of the Great American Jazz Piano Competition), Phil Palombi (Grammy Award winning bassist) and Keith Hall (respected educator and director of the Keith Hall Summer Drum Intensive) were brought together as the rhythm section for singer Curtis Stigers and toured extensively playing at many of the major jazz festivals including Montreux, North Sea, Rochester, Montreal, Toronto, Vail and Aspen.

On Wednesday night, they shared their talents with the local Kingsbridge audience. The event was hosted by Linda Manning who is the producer of Jazz Nights. http://www.lindasjazznights.com/

Jazz Night is held on the first Wednesday of the month. If you missed this one, you have a chance to check out the next one. So...."Go get real and head to The Beal."  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f1yOu5iZ0Eg
