New Haven, CT: The Faxon Law New Haven Road Race has selected Grey Kupiec’s colorful retro logo from a number of designs submitted for their t-shirt contest. Kupiec, a long-time race participant, is now a 3x winner of the t-shirt contest. The design will be featured on over 6,000 race shirts.
Kupiec states, “This race means a lot to me, it’s in the city I love, and I have run it a number of times. It’s always exciting to see my design on thousands of shirts, but this year winning round trip flights from Avelo is really special!”
The event takes place Monday, September 5 on the New Haven Green. The races consist of a half marathon, relay, 5K, Town Fair Tire Kids Fun Run, and the signature 20K. The Faxon Law New Haven 20K again hosts the USATF 20K National Championship. The race expects to feature a number of past champions and U.S. Olympians. This year marks the 31st year a national championship event has been held in New Haven, making the race the longest running USATF Championship.
U.S. Olympians Jared Ward (2016 Marathon) and Aliphine Tuliamuk (2021 Marathon) are committed to running this year’s race. Erika Kemp (2021 20K Champion) joins Ward (2015 winner) and Tuiliamuk (2016) as past champions coming to New Haven.
