It may not seem like it but Connecticut has a good number of state parks. This weekend I took advantage of the nice weather and the last week of free admission (some parks start charging on April 21) and walked around with a camera around Sherwood Island State Park in Westport. Sherwood Island has a lot to offer including sunbathing, swimming, camping, fishing, picnic tables to hang out and have lunch, and not to mention getting in some exercise with a little biking, hiking, or walking and running. Be sure to take advantage of Sherwood Island and the many other parks our state has to offer.
For more information about state parks or to find a park and information about that park, please visit the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection's Website.
With that said, enjoy the photos!
